Frontier Markets
A visit to some outstanding businesses in Zambia,
Zimbabwe and Malawi during October 2010 reinforced the view of
KCML director Ashik Shah that exceptional value can be found
in the so-called 'frontier markets', countries where political and
economic difficulties currently discourage potential investors from
investigating opportunities.
Following the trip Kurm Investments Inc. acted on a KCML
recommendation that it invest in a US managed frontier markets fund
with a focus on developing African economies.
